Age Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n

All entrants must be 17 years or older on the date of the event to participate in the half marathon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Race Packs<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

Race packs will be posted to entrants who have registered with a UK address. Entrants whose race packs cannot be posted (those with international or invalid addresses) must collect their race packs from registration on the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Headphones<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

All entrants are prohibited to wear noise-cancelling headphones, however, you may use earphones at a low volume so that you can hear instructions from marshals.<\/p>\n

Results<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

Results will be uploaded live to The Race Organiser website, and communicated to all pre-registered participants, within 24 hours of each event.<\/p>\n

Buggies, Pushchairs, and Strollers<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In line with UKA Guidelines the use of such items is not permitted in the half marathon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

You will not be able to run without a race number and chip.<\/strong><\/p>\n

NO CHIP MEANS NO TIME.<\/strong>

When you receive your\u00a0race\u00a0packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner\u00a0Information\u00a0form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!<\/p>\n

T-Shirts<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you’ve purchased an \u00a312 event T-shirt with your race entry, this will be available to collect from the kit stall on the day. Any additional RunThrough kit, including socks and RT branded T-shirts can be collected from the Kit Stall on the day. Please have your order number ready to collect these.<\/p>\n

Race Start<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We will line runners up based on estimated finish times to avoid any congestion at this point.<\/p>\n

Please listen closely to all marshal instructions to do this, and remember to keep a safe distance from the runners around you.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

During the race<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We will have marshals all around the course as well as mile signs and arrows.<\/p>\n

Results<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Results will be available on www.warwickhalf.com <\/a>after the race.<\/p>\n

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be available to view\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.<\/p>\n

There will be water provided at the 3 water stations around the course and at the finish line.<\/p>\n

After the race<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.<\/p>\n

There will be sealed water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, and sponsored goodies.<\/p>\n

We recommend you arrive as early as possible, as with many large sporting events there will be traffic coming into the venue. Please plan your journey accordingly!<\/p>

Event car parking is at Bede Primary School (NE10 0DJ) which is opposite Gateshead Stadium and will be signed as the event parking from all inbound directions.<\/p>

Please note there is a\u00a0\u00a35 CASH ONLY<\/strong>\u00a0fee for this car park which is ran by volunteers of the local housing association.<\/p>

PLEASE NOTE \u00a0ANY CARS PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS SURROUDING BEDE PRIMARY SCHOOL AND ADJACENT ROADS WILL BE ISSUED WITH PARKING FINES.<\/p>

The car park at Bede Primary School will open at 7:00am and we would advise arriving before 7:45am to avoid queuing into the carpark. Please expect a short queue if arriving after 7:30am.

Road closures by the event and Quayside market will affect the Quayside roads and Swing Bridge from both sides of the river.<\/p>

Gateshead International Stadium is signposted from major roads in the area, however routes will be affected by road closures for the event.<\/p>

A1 (from the North)
<\/strong>Follow the A1 Southbound until the turn off for the A184 (Gateshead Town Centre). Follow diversions along Sunderland Road to event car park at Bede Primary School OR preferable park at the most convenient Park & Ride Metro station (see above).<\/p>

A1 (from the South)
<\/strong>Follow the A1 Northbound, turn off the A167 (Gateshead South). Pass the Angel of the North on your left. Follow road to the centre of Gateshead then follow diversions along Sunderland Road to event car park at Bede Primary School OR preferable park at the most convenient Park & Ride Metro station (see above).<\/p>

A69 (from the West)
<\/strong>Follow the A69 until you meet the A1. From there follow directions as from the A1 North.<\/p>

A19 (from the East)
<\/strong>From the A19, follow signs to the A184 (Gateshead).<\/p>

Rail<\/strong><\/p>

The nearest train station is Newcastle Central Station (East Coast Line). Travel from Newcastle Central Station to Gateshead Stadium Metro station using the Metro.<\/p>

We advise planning your journey before the race to ensure you arrive at the train station with as much time as possible. Newcastle to Gateshead Stadium is a 5min Metro journey with a 5min walk to the arena from Gateshead Stadium Metro.<\/p>

Metro

Gateshead Stadium Metro station is a short walk from Gateshead International Stadium.<\/p>

Metro trains run a frequent service from Newcastle, Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland, Newcastle Airport and North Tyneside.

There is a Metro Park & Ride to Gateshead Stadium Metro station from:
Callerton Parkway, Regent Centre, Four Lane Ends, Northumberland Park, Heworth and Stadium of Light Metro Stations.<\/p>

Bus

The event is also accessible by bus, however routes will be affected by road closures for the event. It is possible to get bus services to Newcastle City Centre, Gateshead or Heworth Metro Stations then use the Metro to get to Gateshead Stadium Metro Station.<\/p>

Toilets<\/strong><\/p>

For this event we will use portaloos outside of Gateshead Stadium in the main car park, these will be accessible for all runners. There will also be access to toilets inside Gateshead Stadium for spectators.<\/p>

Baggage<\/strong><\/p>

The car park is located next to the stadium and we therefore recommend leaving any belongings in your car after your warm up and only enter the stadium ready to run.<\/p>

We will have an informal baggage drop for this event. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage staff and they will help you find your baggage.<\/p>

During the race<\/strong><\/p>

We will have marshals all around the course as well as mile signs and arrows.<\/p>

Please note that there is a strict 3 hour cut off time for the half marathon due to the road closures!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

10km - 1 lap<\/p>

Half Marathon - 2 laps, plus out and back on the 1st lap.<\/p>

There will be water provided at the water station on the Quayside which will be passed 4 times during the Half marathon race, and twice in the 10k (see map), and there will also be water available at the finish. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.<\/p>
